Who’s Getting Paid? (CLAIMS STAT SHEET)

UNDATED – In the 3 weeks since Ken Feinberg took over paying claims for the gulf oil spill, the Gulf Coast Claims Facility has paid out almost $80 million dollars in claims, but who’s getting paid?

According to the claims facility’s website, Louisiana has gotten almost $37 million dollars. That means nearly 3,000 claims have been paid from over 13,000 filed.

In Florida, almost 16,000 claims have been filed and 3,300 paid. That equals out to over $18 million dollars.

In Alabama, 12, 660 businesses and individuals have filed claims. Over 2,700 received checks totaling over $14 million dollars.
