Oil spill claims administrator comes to Fla.

FORT WALTON BEACH, Fla. (AP) – Ken Feinberg, the administrator of the $20 billion Gulf oil spill claims fund, is visiting Florida.

Feinberg, a Washington lawyer, plans to attend a town hall meetings in Fort Walton Beach and Panama City Beach on Wednesday before speaking at the winter board meeting of the Florida Restaurant and Lodging Association in Wesley Chapel near Tampa.

The spill began after an April 20 explosion destroyed a BP-leased drilling rig, killing 11 workers. The U.S. government estimates the well leaked more than 200 million gallons of oil.
