How can it be that "the government" that is supported by, and supposed to serve us, the people, is so ready to be used by -- even do the bidding of -- the coal, oil and gas industries? Everyone who wants to preserve the rights of individuals must get educated really quickly about how our welfare came to be so endangered by the 1%! They care nothing about individual rights or justice or the future of the earth. If we obstruct their path to ever greater riches, "we the people" are not their concern -- we're just collateral damage. But why don't our elected officials protect us, and what can we do to make them?

This is an outrage, and once that land is altered that way it will never be the same again, ever. All so we can go speeding on our merry way to destruction. As if the only value of that land is the trees or it's ability to carry a pipeline through it. Thanks for the report.

Gas companies are completely out of control. When the act was passed in 1938, there was still common sense and people counted. Today people and the land be damned as long as the greed heads stuff their pockets.

The unrelenting destruction perpetrated by the oil & gas industry are slowly but surely igniting a volcanic eruption of civil fury.
That means we've just about had it, boys.

When Eminent domain is used for the good of a company and not the good of the people than it can not be called The right of eminent domain and must be called criminal intent. Bob Swarts should argue that that the company is trying to supply people with services that they can get in any other way such as utilities to land owners and the company is not trying to decrease the cost of the gas the pipeline will carry. The gas company's only intent to to raise there own capital gains by taking land fraudulently by using the right of eminent domain and should be concerted criminal intent.

There is a Sign in the town of washington WI (just outside the Eau claire Metro.

Where the city of eau claire used ememit domain to cut a land owners property in half. The sign still stands at (As long as we continue to let our rights be violated they will continue to take them away)

Proven true once again welcome to a police state. (those nay sayers on this go look at any other country and prison populations compaired to US's)
